RE-OPENING OF CHURCHES

Weekday Masses will be celebrated in St Joseph's Church on Tuesdays at 10.00 am and in St Patrick's Church at 10.00 am on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  Weekend Masses will take place in St Patrick's on SATURDAYS at 6.00 pm and at 11.00 am on SUNDAYS and in St Joseph's at 5.00 pm on Saturdays.

Capacity in the church will be limited so there is a booking system in place.  Simply e-mail patrickftmass@gmail.com  (for St Patrick's) or stjosephmassbooking@gmail.com  (for St Joseph's) or telephone 01623 622705. and give details of the date(s) of the Mass(es) you wish to attend; the name(s) of those wishing to attend as well as a contact e-mail or (mobile) phone number.   At the moment, it is not feasible that St George's will re-open in the near future.

Any opening of our churches is dependent on a number of factors:

  1. The capacity of the church with appropriate social distancing arrangements

  2. The likely demand from people who wish to visit the church for private prayer

  3. The availability of volunteers for stewarding (at least two per session).  Please contact Fr Paul if you can help in any way.

  4. The ability of the parish to organise the cleaning of the church on a regular basis (ie after each Mass).  Volunteers should contact Fr Paul.

At this stage, we are STRONGLY ADVISING that anyone who is deemed to be in the vulnerable category (ie with an underlying health condition) DOES NOT visit the church in order to safeguard them.

PLEASE NOTE THAT TOILET FACILITIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CHURCH AT THE MOMENT AND THE CHURCH HALL IS NOT IN USE.

If you wish to visit the church or to assist with stewarding or cleaning, please e-mail Fr Paul on stpatrickchurch17@gmail.com giving your preferred days and times.

Parish Finances : To ensure that Parish income is maintained in the absence of weekly collections, you can set up a Standing Order by clicking on the parish name and following the instructions in the document.  Many thanks in anticipation of your co-operation.
